Engineered for cold-weather utility, the blanket utilizes a three-layer construction. The exterior shell consists of water-resistant 150D oxford fabric designed to prevent ground moisture from penetrating upwards. Inside, a 60gsm polyester wadding layer adds loft and captures body heat, while the 250gsm high-pile polyester sherpa or fleece lining offers soft contact skin comfort. An included oxford compression sack protects the blanket during transport and minimizes storage volume in vehicle trunks or travel packs. The entire system is machine washable, facilitating the removal of soil, grass stains, and pet dander. The polyurethane-coated backing acts as a protective shield for car seats and furniture against pet claws and dirt. Note that while the oxford backing is water repellent, the plush lining side is not waterproof.
